The Art of Networking: A Night of Connection, Creativity, and Jazz

What if networking wasn’t awkward? What if it actually felt like a night out?

Spark hosted a curated evening designed to make networking feel less like work and more like a night out. And judging by the energy in the room, the laughter between old friends and new connections, and the buzz that carried well into the evening—we’d say mission accomplished.

Set in a hidden speakeasy in the heart of Toronto, the event brought together a handpicked group of project delivery professionals from across the tech sector. No name tags. No panels. Just great people, live jazz, and meaningful conversations in a space built for genuine connection.

Guests were treated to an open bar with craft beer and fine wine, gourmet bites circulating the room, and a live cocktail trio featuring sax, guitar, and stand-up bass. Adding a unique creative layer to the evening, Toronto artist James Fowler showcased a pop-up gallery of his intricate aerial art—sparking conversations about place, memory, and personal expression.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made the night such a success. We hope you left feeling more connected, more inspired, and maybe even a little more excited about your next big project.

And a special congratulations to Jennifer Huang, who won our attendee draw and will receive a custom-commissioned art piece by James Fowler. Jennifer will collaborate directly with James to design a one-of-a-kind work featuring a location of her choice and a palette tailored to her personal style. We can’t wait to see what they create together.
